Phil Haydon speaks at Epilepsy Foundation New England event in Middletown RI.
On the evening of August 8th the Epilepsy Foundation New England hosted an evening get together to discuss ways in which they are helping the people of Rhode Island with Epilepsy. It was inspiring to hear about a sailing program that week in which patients with epilepsy were able to experience the joys of sailing. In the informal evening program, Phil spoke about the mission of SailForEpilepsy. John O’Hurley, a star of the Seinfeld TV show, made inspiring comments about epilepsy and his family’s battle. John’s sister died from Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) in her teens. Since then, he has gone on to be a national spokesperson concerning epilepsy.
