June 15, 2023: Following the solo leg is the return voyage, St. George’s Bermuda to Newport, RI. Phil will be joined by co-skipper Jim Rudser. Jim sailed with Phil from the Azores to Porto, Portugal during last year’s Atlantic Crossing Adventure and has been working hard alongside Phil to prepare Fearless for the 2023 sailing season.

Another crew member onboard will allow for a watch schedule in which each person takes turns resting while the other manages the boat. Extra hands will make sail changes and maintenance a little easier and the team will be working hard to maximize their speed as they race back home.
This race is part of our 2023 campaign Recognizing 26. 1 in 26 people will develop epilepsy in their lifetime. To highlight this statistic, we will sail at least 2600 nautical miles on 26 separate voyages in 2023. Track the progress here.
