Sail For Epilepsy has sailed over 3,500 miles in 2021, welcomed 268 Virtual Shipmates to the crew, and met hundreds of people affected by epilepsy at in-person events. We’re pleased to report that our message and mission is resonating within the epilepsy community – and beyond.

An anonymous group of generous supporters, who believe in our mission, have created the Making Way Matching Challenge. For every gift made to this challenge during the month of December 2021, they will match the contribution dollar for dollar, up to $10,000. If you choose to support us now, your gift will make a bigger impact by helping us unlock these funds. We have already received 75% of the gifts needed to meet our Annual Fund goal of $80,000. Success with the Making Way Matching Challenge will help us sail across the finish line.

The Sail For Epilepsy project is officially Making Way – the term used to describe a vessel moving ahead under its own power – and we need your help to navigate the waters ahead.

Your gift will help us:
Expand our crew of Virtual Shipmates, who all take the One More Step Challenge to live a fuller life.

Continue to connect live with our Virtual Shipmates, like Anthony, while sailing offshore.

Share additional stories of our Virtual Shipmates to inspire others, to build support within our crew, and to describe the complexity of epilepsy to those not affected by this disorder.

Hold more in-person events during port stops, to engage the epilepsy community, and educate, and raise awareness in the general public
